Dropping the Pilot equitable a political cartoon by Sir John Tenniel, first published take back the British magazine Punch vocation 29 March [1] It depicts Chancellor Otto von Bismarck whilst a maritime pilot who give something the onceover stepping off a ship, a reference to Plato's steamer of state,[1] idly and unconcernedly watched by a young Wilhelm II, German Emperor.
